About SAMAS

SAMAS takes over owner-run trade businesses that have no successor and builds them into Europe’s largest labour services group. Every business keeps its name and its team; the group brings purchasing power, administration, software and capital.

What we are building

A group of heating, plumbing, building-services and cleaning businesses that share purchasing, software and administration, and pay their people above the collective agreement. Heating and plumbing come first; building cleaning follows in 2027.

We want SAMAS to be known for the happiest, most respected workers on the continent.

Six principles for every business

  1. The name stays.

    Every business keeps its name. What has built trust over the years is not re-badged.

  2. The team stays, and earns more.

    Pay above the collective agreement and a share of the profit for the whole team, once the loans are served.

  3. A Meister leads the trade.

    Technical management lies with a Meister. The group takes on administration, purchasing and financing.

  4. Every business stands on its own.

    Each acquisition is held in its own company with its own financing. No business is liable for another.

  5. Buying together, administering together.

    The businesses pool purchasing, software and administration, leaving more time for customers and sites.

  6. Accountability, every year.

    We report staff turnover and an anonymous staff survey to our investors every year, business by business.

The founder

Before I started SAMAS, I spoke with owners across the trades. What I learned: the larger businesses live on multi-year maintenance contracts with property managers, and those contracts rest on trust.

So SAMAS is built to carry that trust through the handover. The name stays, the team stays, and the previous owner introduces the customers personally.
